Isn't it awesome how God always makes a way for us. I believe his mercy and grace cover our lives with such blessing and favor, we will never know on this side of glory all of the little blessing he provided everyday.
I have really been meditating on this verse lately. The precious Holy Spirit has just been causing me to understand it more and more.
1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
I have been applying this verse to my current job situation. The schedule is less than ideal. The project at hand is challenging. Shifting gears, everyday, from Pastor to Systems Engineer is rough. Being a good employee, and showing true respect to my boss is a constant work of grace through the sanctification of my attitude. I mean I am to show my employer a witness of Christ's meekness and gentleness at work in my life. By honoring him, I honor God. By submitting myself to him, as a teachable employee, he recognizes my willingness to both receive instruction and cooperate. I choose to honor my boss in this way because God has made me to lie down, at least for a while in this place of provision. This studio, this boss, for this season of my life is where God has made me to lie down. So I will honor my boss and my fellow employees, so that they might see God's good works in my life and give praise to him. - -Pastor Jim

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He makes me lie down in peace and provision. Isn't that like an awesome Dad? He makes us receive his peaceful provision, what a provider.I have been applying this verse to my current job situation.
